MAIN PROJECT—Task #1: Decide on Topic

For this assignment, I would like to challenge the concept of gender stereotypes. The reason why I chose this topic is that I believe that the traditional and stereotyped views on basic human behaviour, which has been divided between the genders, is incorrect. Basic human behaviour refers to what is expected for humans to behave and act. However, the stereotyped characters for how each gender should act may create a negative impact on society.

An example of this is how men are expected to show little to no emotions, even if it may be overwhelming. This may result in men being less expressive and open about their emotions. Consequently, it may lead to emotional buildup, which is most likely going to be expressed through anger.

Therefore, I believe that the gender stereotypes need to be reevaluated and possibly be removed from the general views of people.
